Purpose of School Development
School should be a space for meaningful learning and life. Students and teachers should be equally comfortable, enjoy working here, and learn together. The aim of RIS Swiss Section – German-speaking School of Bangkok is to best prepare our students for their further personal and professional development.
The school development progresses in accordance with the mission of the school as a task done in close collaboration with all groups involved in the school. For the teachers, it is part of their professional requirements. Although the overall responsibility for school development ultimately lies with the school director, the development should happen as an effect of the collective efforts of all members.
Evaluation culture
Since the introduction of binding educational standards and the passing of the quality framework for German foreign schools and standards for Swiss foreign schools, evaluation has become an integral part of schools. With the help of various instruments of internal and external evaluations, certificate examinations and other examinations, the quality of the school as a whole organization is regularly checked. Evaluation thus becomes the engine of a process-oriented quality development.
