In the home countries of the RIS Swiss Section, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, democratic values are of paramount importance and the foundation of stable and peaceful communities.
Accordingly, many decisions at our school are also made according to democratic principles. Last week, the students from Grade 5 to 12 elected, in a secret ballot, the two liaison teachers from a pool of candidates.
The two newly elected liaison teachers will meet for one year with the student representatives on a regular basis and take on the different concerns and issues of students in a confidential matter.
