Reading and Writing in Grade 1

Reading and writing does not begin with letters. But with letters, reading and writing gets really interesting. In Grade 1, a new letter from the German alphabet is introduced every week. For each new letter, the students create a familiar item that connects the letter with a sound. This helps them remember the letter and related words in a playful but efficient manner.
