Historical Milestones

1963 Foundation of Swiss School Bangkok by Swiss expats; schooling in a small house on Sukhumvit Soi 19 (8 students/1 teacher).
1983 Affiliation with Ruamrudee International School (RIS) as their German-speaking section due to license agreements; classes on the RIS school campus on Soi Ruam Rudee (111 students/22 teachers). RIS Swiss Section-Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok
1991 Relocation to the actual RIS campus in Minburi (196 students/22 teachers).
1995 Introduction of the Swiss Maturity (212 students/23 teachers).
2007 Introduction of the Swiss Bilingual Maturity (English-German) (218 students/29 teachers).
2011 Launch of the English-speaking Profile E (216 students/43 teachers).

Although our school building remains temporarily closed, RIS Swiss Section – Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok is very much in operation. All teachers and staff continue to work hard to ensure that our students’ learning experience continues online.
